Bus production (including minibuses and “work-team buses” on truck chassis) in Russia rose 47.1% year on year to 11.0 thousand units in the first three months of 2012, according to ASM Holding analysts’ provisional data. Of the total production figure, output of domestic models was 8.8 thousand vehicles (up 55.3%), while foreign-brand bus output was 2.2 thousand units (up 21.2%).

Truck production (including chassis-cabs and light trucks) in Russia rose 10.0% year on year to 42.2 thousand units in the first quarter of 2012, according to ASM Holding analysts’ provisional data. Out of the total production figure, domestic truck output was 36.7 thousand units (up 9.5%), and foreign-brand truck output was 5.5 thousand units (up 13.1%).

Passenger car production in Russia rose 18.8% year on year to 449.6 thousand units in January-March 2012, according to ASM Holding analysts’ provisional data. Of the total, output of domestic car models was down 13.3% to 139.9 thousand units, while foreign-brand car output rose 42.7% to 309.7 thousand units.
