RusAutoNews.- According to the Arabic edition of Al Mayadeen, the export of Aurus cars began. Journalists describe the arrival of the sedans in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Gulf States as a matter of fact.
The company has not yet announced the delivery of its sedans abroad, but a year ago the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov announced plans to send a large batch of armored cars to the United Arab Emirates. At the same time, the opening of the first foreign showroom was announced, but so far there are car dealerships of the Russian brand only in Moscow.
On the hand, at the recent presentation of the Aurus Komendant crossover, the CEO Nikolay Khodosevich said that the company is building a dealer network in the United Arab Emirates together with its Emirati shareholder Tawazun, and the results of this work are set to be announced before mid-2023.
According to Autostat data, in Russia only 12 Senat sedans were sold in the first half of the year. The plant in the SEZ Alabuga has been operating since May 2021, and the capacity allows the production of up to five thousand cars annually.
